İstanbul Kültür University is a foundation university with a public legal entity established on July 15, 1997 with the law numbered 4281. It carries out education in accordance with the Higher Education Law No. 2547. İKÜ has all kinds of rights and powers of a state university. İKÜ Computer Engineering Department was one of the first departments of İstanbul Kültür University which was opened in 1997-1998 Academic Year.
