Our vision as Istanbul Kültür University, Faculty of Engineering, Computer Engineering Department is; to train highly qualified and socially responsible engineers who design and implement information systems that develop and diversify in line with today's requirements and to become a respected and leading department at national and international level.r.

Our Mission

As Istanbul Kültür University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering, our mission is to provide students with current education programs balanced by the combination of basic science and technology that will ensure the success and continuous development of the students and increase the analysis and mathematical expression abilities of the students; design, performance measurement, evaluation processes, analytical and model development tools to develop the skills to develop, realistic design and implementation projects by students, business life is expected to encounter at the beginning of the issues and problems to gain experience, technical solutions to perceive the social, economic dimensions and predict the results and the most important aim of the course is to provide computer education and training programs that increase interpersonal and written expression skills, improve communication skills and raise computer engineers who love their carrers.

Our Duty

The main duty of IKU Computer Engineering Department is to train highly qualified and socially responsible engineers who design and implement information systems that develop and diversify in line with today's requirements.
 

Educational Objective of the Department

In order to fulfill the defined training task, in our learning programs;

• Work in engineering, consulting, R&D, Operations, and/or Management positions
• Participate in graduate programs in Computer Engineering/Science discipline and/or related engineering disciplines
• Establish and develop technology companies by using their entrepreneurship skills.

Our Objectives

Our objectives in our learning programs in order to fulfill the defined training task are;

• To provide up-to-date learning programs balanced by basic science and technology components to ensure the success and continuous development of students in their professions
• To improve students' analysis and mathematical expression skills; develop skills in using analytical and model development tools in design, performance measurement, evaluation processes
• To provide students with realistic design and application projects and to gain experience on the issues and problems that they are expected to face in the beginning of their business life.
• To provide the necessary cultural and social accumulation in order to perceive the social and economic dimensions of technical solutions and to predict the results, to increase the sensitivity in these areas
• To create opportunities where interdisciplinary projects are developed and collaborations with other professional groups are realized.
• To improve students' verbal and written expression skills and to organize activities to increase their communication skills.
